After getting Mzansi up in arms over former president Jacob Zuma attending tomorrow night’s State of the Nation Address, Parliament has
Briefly.co.za reported that Parliament confirmed the embattled politician’s appearance at the event earlier on Wednesday.
But not, it seems as if the confirmation was made ahead of an actual commitment from Msholozi.
In confirming list of former Presidents who have confirmed attendance of #SONA, an earlier tweet erroneously included Former President Jacob Zuma. The confirmation was premature; an accurate update will be given later today. The error is regretted. https://t.co/hCjPtzVFNZ

In a new post, Parliament commented on the situation, revealing that:
“In confirming the list of former presidents who have confirmed attendance of SONA, an earlier tweet erroneously included Former President Jacob Zuma.
The confirmation was premature; an accurate update will be given later today.
The error is regretted.” Whether Zuma eventually decides to appear or not at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address on Thursday night, Mzansi hadn’t been impressed with the situation.
After failing to appear at both the State Capture Inquiry and his corruption trial over the past few months due to a mystery illness, many felt it would be a cheek to attend the glamorous occasion.
