Two varsity students are alleged to have made history for being the fastest couple to get married in 2020 after just two weeks of dating.
A twitter report by another female student claims that a newly wedded couple dated for just two weeks before they tie the knots. In the picture embedded in the twitter story, the couple is seeing signing documents believed to be wedding certificate and another picture shows them posing in front of Home Affairs building.
This has generated a heated on social media as people give different opinions on the matter.
On Wednesday, a woman took to social media to share photos of a couple getting married at Home Affairs. The tweep, who goes by the Twitter handle @Yeyethu_Baballo, revealed the couple are both students at Rhodes University.
She added that they allegedly dating only two weeks before tying the knot. Her post read: “Rhodes students got married today after being together for two weeks.
South Africans were divided on the news – some felt that the couple was meant to be while others said they took a big step way too soon. Twitter user, @moifo14, commented:
“They are focused I tell you! Now they will get their degrees and make money for their marriage to work.”
Another tweep, @Titus_Mashala, added: “Probably one of them got Nsfas and we know who that is most likely to be… Knowing the other gender of course.”
Simphiwe Madungandaba, who goes by the Twitter handle @Simphiwe_m0, wrote:
