Pearl Thusi and DJ Zinhle are the ultimate bestie duo.
Not only are they both total boss babes, they’re rocking mommas too!
Being as successful and wearing as many hats as Pearl and Zinhle do while being exceptional mothers ain’t for the faint-hearted.
Briefly learnt that the two queens recently shared how they manage to literally do it all – and do it hella well – while speaking to T’bose on Kaya FM.
Pearl has two beautiful girls, Thandolwethu and Okuhle, and Zinhle has one powerhouse of a tiny princess, Kairo. Both mommas have their babies with them almost all the time.
Speaking on how she manages to single-handedly raise two tiny boss babes and be an absolute boss babe herself, Pearl said it all comes down to how she was raised.
Watching her mother sacrifice her goal to raise her, Pearl wanted to show her babies that you can do both.
“She didn’t go because she was worried about missing things like my first period or (something like that) … Now in retrospect, I realise that might have been a huge sacrifice for her or she may have been scared – only God knows.
“I believe that kids are not here for us, they are here through us. God is going to handle her life … like who am I to think that I am better or more important and my presence is more important than God’s presence in her life. I trust God with children,” Pearl said.
While Zinhle has a phenomenal support system with Glammy being very present in Kairo’s life and AKA still doing his bit, she still has a lot on her hands.
Zinhle agreed with Pearl’s comments, saying that she too believes Kairo was made perfectly to fit into her and AKA’s life, and she was.
Yes, sometimes it’s hard to leave her for work, especially now that she’s older and asks more questions, but teaching her independence and perseverance is invaluable. “It’s the same story for me.
Kairo is a very independent kid and I think she was created not to come into my life and then make me move things around but to come in and fit perfectly into mine and Kiernan’s life.”
Both Pearl and Zinhle expressed their deep gratitude for the incredible support systems that they have – without their army, they wouldn’t be able to do it.
