A woman allegedly claimed to be Beyonce Knowles after police caught her taking a joying ride in a stolen car.
Surena Henry in New Mexico in the United States (US) pulled a smart stunt to avoid police arrest or win police over thinking they might be star-struck or star-shocked. Court documents confirm this report.
Fox News and Las Cruces Sun News say the 48-year-old woman was spotted by a police officer in a stolen car two hours after the owner of the car had reported that car was missing from his apartment complex.
It was reported that an officer spotted Henry in the car and tried to pull her over. Upon confrontation by the police, she claimed she was the American pop sensation – Beyonce.
She ignored the officer and drove home according to report.
She was later found by a different officer who confronted her but she reportedly refused to give her real name.
Police said officers had to use fingerprints to properly identify her, though they had solid grounds to suspect she was not Beyonce – a proof is imperative.
She later admitted to have found the keys inside the car and took it on a joyride.
She reportedly said she didn’t feel like stopping when she saw the emergency lights.
Court records revealed that Henry was arrested in March 2019 and January 2020 for being in possession of stolen vehicles. The 2019 case was dismissed by the judge before it went to trial.
Does she really look like Beyonce? You be the judge.
