Boity Thulo’s feeling very bad for the people who have to work while most of South Africa goes into lockdown for three weeks.
The majority of businesses will have their doors closed but essential services will remain open during this time.
This means that many general workers will have to continue working despite earning a minimum wage (sometimes less) and Boity is sad for them.
According to Briefly companies that are essential to the production and transportation of food, basic goods and medical supplies will remain open.
Everyone who is not involved in these vital services will be expected to stay home during the lockdown.
Boity supports the hope that these people will receive better salaries once the lockdown has past.
