The United States of America (USA) has taken the lead (that she does not like) by beating China to the second place in coronavirus cases. China (81.782), Italy (80,589), Spain (57,786) and Germany (43,938) are the second to fifth place holders respectively, with the U.S currently topping the chart at 85, 505 cases.
As at March 27 (05:00 CAT), the U.S has 3,723 cases of coronavirus more than China – where the virus originated from.
However, total deaths in the U.S. is much lower than China – U.S (1,288), China (3,291), Italy (8,215), Spain (4,356) and Germany (267) around the same time.
Nigeria has cases and South Africa has 987 cases around the same time – Cameroun (75), Mauritius (86), Congo – Kinshasa (51) and Rwanda (50) around the same time.
According to aa.com.tr: “The death toll in Africa from the coronavirus increased to 72 yesterday (March 26) from 64 a day earlier, according to the African Center for Diseases Prevention and Control (CDC).
African CDC chief Paul Nkengasong said the pandemic in Africa was moving from “threat” to “disaster” as an increasing number on the 55-nation continent reports cases and deaths.
