How Davido Turns Around People’s Lives in Nigeria – Moving Testimonies

Davido is one of the most generous Nigerians doing lots of philanthropic activities.

Some of his screw members decide to share some of the details of his kind heart, which is not unpopular publicly also.

Singer Father DMW narrated how Davido transformed his life from a commercial bike (okada) transporter in Lekki to an educated and successful young man.

Father DMW disclosed how he creatively got into Lagos disguised as a woman due to the Boko Haram insurgence in Borno state.

The commercial motorcyclist then became a frequent caller at Davido’s house because a friend of his was living with the “Blow My Mind” crooner.

He eventually met with Davido and told the singer he had no bike of his own. Davido bought him a brand new bike to start his own business, after they had only met a few times.

Later, Davido helped him fulfil his ambition to go back to school – he helped him got back home to get his documents by booking a flight for him and paying his school fees. That was the first time he travelled by air.

Aloma, another member of his crew revealed he sent him a whooping N1 million to celebrate his birthday, after Davido liked Aloma’s photo on his birthday.

A 2019 report by Oxfam International ranked Nigeria low on poverty eradication and gender equality as 69% of Nigerians live below the poverty line.

In October 2015, the World Bank updated the international poverty line, a global absolute minimum, to $1.90 per day, meaning about 140 million Nigerians live below $2 (700 Naira) a day.

This grinding poverty has turned many Nigerians to beggars – some seek celebrities who would help them – Davido comes handy in his own little way – kudos to him.
