Lukman Olaonipekun popularly known as Lukesh is one of the greatest Nigerian photojournalists who has earned a good name through numero-uno photo-craft over the years.
He was born on December 7, 1975 in Itesiwaju Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria.
His photography career in 1998 and is the official personal photographer to the former governor of Lagos State and Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing- Babatunde Raji Fashola.
He was also the personal photographer to Honourable Idowu Obasa, the Onigbongbo Local Government Chairman in Ikeja, Lagos around 2003.
He authored BRF: A Story in Photographs, documenting Fashola’s life as a serving governor in Lagos State.
In 2009, he took short courses at the London School of Photography, and from 2006 to 2009, he was a participant at the World Press Photo Award.
The member of the Photojournalists Association of Nigeria and the World Photography Organisation has received the following awards:
