Two Nigerian-American Brothers Deny Having Gay Sex with Smollet, Empire Drama Actor

Two Nigerian-American brothers have denied being involved in gay sex with Empire star actor – Jussie Smollett.

In 2019, Smollett had claimed to be the victim of a racist and homophobic attack near his Chicago apartment telling police that two attackers made reference to Make America Great Again (MAGA) – the slogan often used by President Donald Trump and his supporters.

An investigation into the alleged January 29, 2019 saga had the police arrest the actor for allegedly ploting the incident.

Charges were later dropped without a plea after Smollett agreed to surrender his $10,000 bail and perform 16 hours of community service.

However, in 2020, he was indicted again by a special prosecutor in Illinois on six counts of making false reports to police that he was a victim of a hate crime.

But the police said the actor cooked the incident and paid two men who were acquaintances from the TV show on which he starred — Nigerian brothers Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo — to stage the attack for publicity because he was upset with his salary on the Fox show, Empire.

Another report throws a novel tale into the story that Smollett may have been more than just friends with one of his alleged attackers Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo – that they are allegedly involved in a gay sexual relationship.

It was revealed that Smollett and Abel were frequent visitors at an upscale Chicago gay bathhouse.

According to the report: “They used to party together and he had a sexual relationship with [Abel]. They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID. It’s known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out. There should be a record [of their visits]… the bathhouse records may be subpoenaed in Smollett’s upcoming trial on charges of disorderly conduct.”

But the Osundairo brothers have vehemently denied being gay and even sued Smollett’s Hollywood lawyers, Tina Glandian and Mark Geragos, last year for defamation.

The two brothers took the lawyers on after they insinuated there was a sexual relationship between Smollett and one of the brothers in an interview with “Good Morning America”.

In the the suit, the two body builders claimed the comments put them and their family, who are Nigerians, at risk due to the country’s laws against homosexuality, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

They said the are allegations lies after lie being fabricated about them in the media and that these lies are destroying their character and reputation.

Their attorney, Gloria Schmidt reported their stance in a statement on their behalf at the time.

Smollett is not shifting grounds about his acclaimed innocence on asking the brothers to help him stage the attack against himself.

He plead not guilty to the charges and maintains he paid the brothers $3500 for performance enhancing drugs, not to stage a crime.

Abimbola “Abel” Osundairo and Olabinjo Osundairo, are of Nigerian descent but said they were “born and raised in Chicago and are American citizens.”

Abimbola Osundairo, 25, graduated from Lake View High School in Chicago, where he participated in football, track and field, soccer and wrestling, before joining the football team at Quincy University in western Illinois.

Olabinjo Osundairo, 27, also was on the Quincy football team and had attended Latmos Comprehensive College in Lagos, Nigeria, according to his football profile.

The brothers also told a CBS2 reporter in a phone interview that they are not racist, homophobic or anti-Trump – that they are bodybuilders who have developed an online following and have dabbled in acting.

The defamation suit against the lawyers (by the two brothers) was dismissed last month.

Smollett still fights against the allegation that the brothers were paid to carry out the hoax attack.
