Nigeria Extends Airport Shutdown. Britain Evacuates 213 Britons from Nigeria.

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika disclosed yesterday that the Federal Government has extended the shutdown of airports nationwide by another two weeks.

The minister who revealed this via his Twitter account, stating that the facilities would no longer open for commercial operations on April 23.

Besides, the British Airways flight, BA9157, has evacuated 213 United Kingdom citizens from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The Boeing 747 aircraft with registration number G-CIVO with 22 crew members landed the airport at 1.22 pm. The plane thereafter departed at 4pm with 235 persons on board
