Global spotlight has been on Madagascar lately due to the herbal remedy the French colony invented for the cure of Covid-19. The newest addition to the interesting fact about Madagascar is though it makes only about GDP per capita of €652 annually, and has been constantly ranked one of the poorest countries in the world, the Red Island has added a colourful feather to her cap with the recent discovery of organic concoction to cure patients infected with the CoronaVirus.
Though the World Health Organisation (WHO) in a statement has warned against any self-medication, stating that it has not recommended any medicine as a cure for the COVID-19.
Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina has recommended the herbal concoction saying: “All trials and tests have been conducted and its effectiveness has been provided in reducing and elimination of symptoms from COVID-19 patients in Madagascar”.
