Wildlife Director Theorises COVID-19 Originates In South Africa

Audrey Delsink, Wildlife director of the African branch of Humane Society International (HSI) made an audacious assumption that the deadly coronavirus may have originated in South Africa, not China – this caused a peppery uproar on Twitter.

Chinese scientists had only guesstimated that the virus may have been transmitted to humans at a Wuhan market where poisonous animals were killed.

South Africans react and throw shades at the source of the ‘unfounded theory’.

However, this is not the first time that the source of a virus is linked to Africa. It was alleged in the past that HIV/AIDS originated from Africa.
