The ghost of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s ‘5G-New World Order” claim still haunts the founder of the Loveworld Ministries International as a British media regulator Ofcom has imposed sanctions against his channel for airing “unsubstantiated claims” linking 5G to the coronavirus pandemic.
Loveworld Channel owned by Pastor Oyakhilome is obliged to clarify claims now described as “unfounded” that the coronavirus pandemic is a ‘global cover up”.
Ofcom says such unsubstantiated claim posed serious health consequences to viewers. The channel has been mandated to air findings from its own study to support its claim given the allege “serious failings” to protect its viewers during the program.
Ofcom said the charismatic pastor’s sermon questioned the need for lockdown measures to prevent the spread of the virus without providing context.
The agency said the report on 5G was particularly sensitive because in the preceding days a number of attacks had been committed on mobile phone masts in the UK as a result of claims that 5G technology had caused, or was in some way linked to, the coronavirus.
In the regulators words according to media report:”There is no reputable scientific evidence to corroborate the claim that there is a link between 5G technology and the Coronavirus, which runs contrary to both the international and UK official position.”
The narrative of the sermon is said to cast serious doubt on the necessity for lockdown measures, and the imperativeness of the attendant official health advice on COVID-19, including in relation to vaccination.
In the wake of the 5G theory, Daddy Freeze, Nigeria’s popular radio personality and Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo of Kingsway International Christian Center (KICC) rebuke Pastor Chris Oyakhilome lavishly over his the Christ Embassy pastor’s alleged claim that the Nigerian Government is secretly installing 5G towers.
Also, Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Day Star Ministry has dismissed the claim of Pastor Chris Oyakhilomeh of Christ Embassy on 5G, Coronavirus and the Antichrist – this aligns him with Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo of the Kingsway International Christian Center (KICC).
In the midst of the claims and counter claims, Pastor Oyakhilome maintained his strong stance that the coronavirus pandemic is a product of conspiracy theory of multinational corporations who are advancing the 5G technology and implicitly an extension of the satanic New World Order.
Later, he rebuked rebuked pastors who dreads Covid-19 and sells fear to others not to open churches.
Pastor Chris is yet to official reply to Ofcom.
