Successful marriage amongst celebs globally seems a taboo though many of them claim marriage fails everywhere and that theirs come to the fore because they are famous.
Here are five Nigerian celebs who have married again – either because the first marriage failed or they lost their spouse. One thing is common with them, the first blow didn’t keep them down.
Number One is Richard More Damijo (RMD):
He was married to the late famous publisher and journalist, May Ellen-Ezekiel popularly known as MEE. She passed away in 1996 leaving RMD to raise a son they had together.
Later, RMD dusts himself off the past and forged into a new future by hooking up with another media personality – a broadcaster of note – Jumobi Adegbesan. They both have four children together.

Jumobi was one of the most popular Nigerian TV anchors in the 90s hosting a musical show with African Independent Television (AIT). She’s one of the earliest faces of private tv entertainment. RMD & Jumobi
Number Two is Funke Akindele, a.k.a Jennifer.
From a coded love life – though she was linked to Femi Adebayo – in 2012 ‘Jennifer’ got married to popular Oshodi based businessman, Adeola Kehinde Oloyede. Four hundred and thirteen days later, the marriage crashed amid allegations of infidelity (against Oloyede) coupled with the fact that Oloyede had multiple wives. Funke & JJC
Then Funke soldiered on and was favoured when she met music star, JJC Skillz. The interesting thing about this union is that Skillz was previously married with kids. The two got married in 2016 and are blessed with a set of twins. Funke & Oloyede
Number Three is Monalisa Chinda:
In 2009, Chinda disclosed she’d been a victim of domestic violence aplenty and was calling it quit with Dejo Richards.

In 2007, Damasus remarried to Emeka Nzeribe for only seven months.
She later got married to movie producer and director, Daniel Ademinokan. The union was shrouded in secrecy until 2014 when the cat was let out of the bag. Damasus had two daughters from her first marriage to Aboderin.
