Nigerian footballer who plied his craft with Bendel Insurance in the Nigerian National League side Bendel Insurance has died.
The news of the goalkeeper’s death was announced by his club confirming he died in Gombe after a brief illness.

The deseased player's family source broke the sad news to Insurance Team Manager,Coach Bernard Ogbe this morning .

Umar Ahmad Jalingo was hospitalized at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe before his death.
The closure of the National League and football in general in Nigeria gave him the chance to avail himself for treatment.
He was said to have improved and the doctors who examined him discharged the goalkeeper.
He gave up the ghost 24 hours after his discharge, failing to wake up from his sleep.
His family and the Nigerian football family are then thrown into mourning.
