The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof the Bible says but the earth is also full of mouth-opening surprises.
You may only know as far as you have seen. But those who have been around will tell you many part of the earth have some incredible peculiarities and uniqueness.
One of them is the Blood Water Fall where a blood-red waterfall stains the snow-white face of Taylor Glacier.
This strange scene was recorded in 1911 by geographer/geologist Thomas Griffith Taylor, a member of Robert Falcon Scott’s ill-fated expedition to the Antarctic.
Afterward, glaciologists and microbiologists probe to know the source and cause of the mysterious blood (red) flow.
The most popular theory they came up with is that a subterranean lake rich in the iron gives the water its red hue.
In a another twist, recent research said microorganisms live 1,300 feet beneath the ice and are sustained by the iron and sulfur in the water.
Some of these great sites are hard to believe or visit. But they remind the mortal man daily that we are limited in knowledge and that only God is omni-scent – knower of all things.
Please travel and see the world. It’s the best form of education.
