The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama disclosed that 260 Nigerians are expected to return from India today via Air Peace Nigeria.
Speaking from his official Twitter handle, the minister that the government’s planned evacuations commenced as scheduled, and that some 102 Nigerians had already been successfully evacuated from Egypt.
Those who returned from Egypt arrived Nigeria yesterday vis with EgyptAir.

Ms Sarah Sanda, Onyeama’s Special Assistant on Media said the returnees who arrived via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, are already self-isolating. Thereafter, they will undergo the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing within 72 hours.
The same procedures would be applied with the expected returnees from India according to Sanda. After this, they would also undergo a mandatory 14-day self-isolation.
She said the Air Peace carrier from India is expected to land in Abuja where some returnees will disembark. From there, it will go Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, where the remaining returnees will disembark.
