Troubled governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki may join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if his consultations with stakeholders and President Muhammadu Buhari (PMD) do not further his ambition to be given a fair opportunity to compete at the primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the governorship seat of his state.
Obaseki thanked all his supporters and disclosed on Twitter that he will disclose his next move after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari and consulting all his supporters.
He decried his ouster from the primary election as injustice perpetrated by the APC screening committee ahead of the gubernatorial election in his state in September.
I appreciate the sustained show of solidarity, support and goodwill from Edo people and Nigerians in the face of injustice by the @OfficialAPCNg screening committee. I will be making my next move known after I complete consultations with my supporters and meet with @MBuhari

Pundits opined that the invitation extended to Obaseki by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar is a strong indication that he may join the umbrella party.
He has visited Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state though reasons for his visit to Wiki was unclear but all permutations point to romancing and eventually joining the PDP.
