A warning that comes with age plus accomplishments and the best of intentions has been by Ghanian Theatrical Royalty – Grace Omaboe popularly known as Maame Dokono.
Frankly admitting to the throngs of male admirers she had when she was younger, her words of advice to today’s female actresses in the limelight are blunt and to the point.
Grace Omaboe said on a light note: “I would’ve owned many properties if I was a Slay Queen in my heydays because I had a lot of men coming my way”.
The admission comes with a note of caution drawn from years of experience in doing things the right way, as opposed to the instant fix way.
Besides being unimpressed with Ghanian ladies that find themselves embracing celebrity status being pompous. She also admonished material dependence on men as a means to an end.
The phenomenon of Slay Queen is not without drawbacks according to Maame Dokono. She admonished women who give in too quickly to male advances at the risk of their own careers.
Specifically, Maame Dokono, advised them not to fall prey to influential men who would want to have a piece of them before they offer help.
