As Nigerians tune into Season five of Brig Brother Naija (BBN) – Commonly referred to as “Lockdown” in this latest installment of the Hit Reality Show. BBN’s mass appeal is rooted in its contestants, and on this Lockdown season, one of those contestants is the 23yr old London England Born and Raised Vee.
Some viewers may be surprised to discover that Vee is not a University Graduate. Her reasons are simple. The primary love in her life is Music, and she has every intention to pour her efforts into building a music career, and coupled with that logic was Vee’s observation that attending University is a costly exercise.
“I told my parents I don’t want to go to university. I said I will not attend a University, but I will have a career in music. Vee states without hesitation, and qualifies her reasons why she thinks that way?
“I didn’t want to spend as much as 9000 euros and not like what I studied.” She would go on to say that the risks of pouring her heart into Music outweigh the financial cost of University in London.
It was difficult telling her parents her decision, especially since she is the firstborn among the children, which carries its own dynamic of setting a good example for the other siblings that follow.
But Vee’s is determined to succeed. This brings her compelling appeal to the viewers of BBN, which is the reason why audiences tune into the show in droves in the first place.
