Very-rich man Bill Gates is not backing down on his advocacy for vaccines as solution to Covid-19. He said people could need multiple vaccine doses to immunize themselves against the coronavirus.
The tech guru stated further that deploying a vaccine will require a global effort.
The Microsoft co-founder said none of the vaccines at this point appear like they will work with a single dose as people hoped at the very start of the pandemic.
The man who has been heavily criticised for having an ulterior motive to put chip in people’s body through vaccines said he noted that the multiple doses could require more than 7 billion vaccinations to be administered worldwide if necessary.
He has been vocal about the threat of a global pandemic since 2015, and has donated $300-million towards the global effort to combat Covid-19 through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
He admitted that “there will be a lot of uncertainty” about the efficacy any vaccine.
He stressed further that it is a solution “that will improve over time.”
Meanwhile, United States’ (U.S) President, Donald Trump resumed his press briefing on the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday, admitting that the situation in the country will “get worse.”
Mr Trump indicated willingness for international cooperation on vaccines, saying that “we’re willing to work with anybody that’s going to get us a good result”. This mean America may work with China to get result.
