Yvonne Orji a Nigerian Actress Tells Her Parents About Her Emmy Nomination, Their Reaction Is Priceless

Yvonne Orji has been nominated for the Emmy’s and shows Instagram her parents reaction when she tells them.

On Tuesday the 28th of July 2020, the Nigerian-American actress posted a video of how her parents reacted to her Emmy nomination.

In the video her parents expressed delight and pride in their daughter when she shared te news with them.

Expressing their happiness partially in the Igbo (a Nigerian language) dialect.

Yvonne Orji was nominated with others for the ‘Best Supporting Comedy Actress’ category in the next Emmy Awards which will be in September 2020.

Her mother also expressed sadness when she told them that the awards would be in September because they would not be able to go see her considering the short notice.

This is Yvonne Orji’s first nomination for her role as ‘Molly Carter’ on the TV drama series ‘Insecure’.

She was born on the 2nd of December 1983, in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria, and she grew up in Laurel, Maryland, in The United States of America.

After she graduated she moved to New York City, United States of America, to pursue her career in comedy.

In 2015, she got the role as ‘Molly Carter’ on Insecure without an agent or any experience.
