Elon Musk tweeted what seemed to be support for conspiracy theorists who say aliens were involved in the extremely large construction effort.
Egypt’s international co-operation, however, does not want them to take any of the credit for the creations of ancient Egyptians.
She stated that seeing the tombs of the pyramids would be proof to anybody who thought the pyramids were built by aliens.
The tombs, which were discovered in the 1990s, are enough evidence.
Experts say that the structures were indeed built by ancient Egyptians.
Elon Musk tweeted on the 31st of July 2020, saying that it is obvious that aliens built the pyramids and this was retweeted more than 84 000 times, gaining a large amount of publicity.
The minister of International Co-operation in Egypt, Rania al-Mashat responded to Elon Musk’s tweet and stated that she followed and admired his work but she asked him to explore evidence about the building of the pyramids.
An Egyptian archaeologist, Zahi Hawass, also responded to Elon Musk’s tweet and stated, in a short video in Arabic, that his argument was a complete hallucination.
Elon Musk did later tweet a link to a news article about the lives of the pyramid builders and stated that the article stated a sensible summary for how it was done.
