Muwado brings smiles to everyone’s faces in Mogadishu (the capital of Somalia) and beyond.

The 8-year-old girl has been making short comedy videos that have taken Somalia by storm.

Muwado Abshir’s short videos have received over a million views on TikTok and YouTube, she talks about a variety of topics such as unemployment, fashion, social media obsession, and even relationships.

Muwado stated that she loves to make people happy because people look better when they are happy.

Her short videos started in December of 2019 when the eldest of Muwado’s seven siblings, Abdikassim Abshir, was making a video for his TikTok channel.

Her 19-year-old brother stated that she would not leave him alone and she wanted him to take a video of her.

After he had taken the video she did not just want it to stay in his phone so she begged him to post it online, and within a few days, the video had more than 250 000 views.

The funny videos started with Abdikassim telling Muwado not to play with his phone because she is too young, he then asks her to go to the shop and buy him ice-cream.

She responds by telling him to be patient and that when she grows up she will go buy him ice-cream stating that she will get lost if she goes out to buy him ice-cream.

He thought that the post becoming so popular was a mistake so he posted a video of just himself which did not go well with his followers.

He stated that his followers would not allow him to post anything without his sister and they either wanted her in the videos or no videos at all.

He started taking videos with her and he would come up with the scripts while she would just come up with the punch lines.

One post that was about federal leaders cutting ties with the central government in Mogadishu got 1.1 million views.

Muwado is too young so the videos are posted on her brother’s channel.

The account has more than 235 000 followers and 3.2 million likes on TikTok.

Muwado’s YouTube channel has almost seven million views in less than a year.
