America’s Got Talent (AGT) creator, Simon Cowell broke his back on Saturday while testing his new electric bicycle at his home in California.
The judge on AGT was expected to have surgery on Saturday evening, according to HIS spokesperson.
The entertainment mogul reportedly fell off the bike while in the courtyard with his family at his house in Malibu.
He was taken to a hospital and was said to be under observation and doing fine.
Cowell created “America’s Got Talent” and serves as a judge on the show. He has also been the judge on “Britain’s Got Talent,” “The X Factor” and “American Idol.”
Cowell and Gabriel Union had a ‘racism’ fight which made Union exited AGT last November.
Union alleged that her contract was not picked up after urging the show’s producers to report an incident involving a racist joke and her clashing with Cowell over his smoking on set, which is prohibited in California where the show is filmed.
Union said on the issue: “When your boss, the person who has the ability to determine who gets opportunities and who doesn’t, doesn’t believe that the law applies to him or the rules apply to him, and he does it in full view of NBC, Fremantle and Syco and no one cares about Simon Cowell exposing all of these employees to second hand smoke, that’s day one,” Union alleged.
“What message do you think that sends to anyone that has an issue with the very real racism and the lack of accountability?”
