The sister to Chadwick Boseman’s wife replied to an Instagram fan’s comment on a photo of Boseman and Lupita Nyong’o. The comment had suggested that Chadwick and Lupita would make a great couple.
In her sister and brother-in-law’s defence, she said: “His real-life queen is gorgeous, and together they embody true love”. This was one of the few times that people had insights into late Chadwick’s love life.
The Black Panther star kept his marriage and love away from public eye. Reports that the couple had gotten engaged began to surface in October 2019 as they never publicly confirmed their engagement. But fans spotted Ledward’s gorgeous engagement ring at the Lakers/Clippers game that year.
The first time Boseman and Ledward were spotted together was in 2015 at Los Angeles International Airport. This was shortly after Ledward graduated from California State Polytechnic University, where she majored in music industry studies. It is unknown where and how they met.
Details of Boseman and Ledward’s wedding were never shared with the press.
Chadwick Boseman, (43) star of “Black Panther,” died on Friday after a four year battle with colon cancer.
Before he was cast as the Marvel Studios superhero, Boseman’s career first exploded with his portrayals of Black American icons Jackie Robinson (in 2013’s “42”) and James Brown (in 2014’s “Get on Up”).
