Man Rapes 13-Year To Death in Nigeria

A man has been arrested in the Ejigbo area, Lagos state (Nigeria) for the allegedly raping a of a 13-year-old to death.

The Nigerian police, in a statement by the state police command, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi identified the victim as Favour Okechukwu.

The state police commissioner has ordered a thorough investigation of the circumstances of the case.

The police said: “At about 8:30 pm local time, Favour was sent on an errand by the mother and did not return home on time. The mother began to worry when Favor did not return on time and decided to raise a search party to look for her daughter. During the search, the mother got a tip-off of a girl fitting favour’s description having been raped to death at No.4, Olanrewaji street in the Ejigbo area”.

The dead girl’s body was found lifeless, unclothed and blood stained when the search party got to the said address.

He added further that the alleged culprit Brimcewil Tabi has since been arrested and is in police custody.

The incident has sparked a lot of anger in the state and people have gone on social media to vent their anger of the incident and to show solidarity to the victim’s family.
