Basketmouth About to Launch his First Feature Film “Scorpio”

 

The popular Nigerian comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, widely known as Basketmouth, has announced the plan for the production of his first ever feature film, “Scorpio”.

 

The proposed film will go into production by November this year and will be aired to the public by 2021, hopefully.

 

“So… I will be bringing a unique perspective to Nigerian Film industry in 2021. I’ve partnered with @filmoneng to make my 1st ever movie “Scorpio”, he announced on his Instagram page.

 

“Shooting starts late 2020 and is set in 3 countries. Lead cast and crew will be announced soon. Stay tuned guys…. History is about to be made”, he further enthused.

 

This development comes approximately two years after he failed to release his initially proposed first ever feature film “The Exorcism of Alu”, which was slated to be screened in Nigerian cinemas by 15 January 2019.

At the time, the comedian revealed that he backed out of the plan to release the movie due to publicity reasons.

 

However, the faithful fans of the comedian are excited once again with the announcement of his latest feature film plan.

 

A particular Instagram user has even lauded him for taking his time in his attempt to produce quality movies and compares the future of Nollywood to the American iconic movie industry, Hollywood.

 

“Wait….. Nov 2021. Is that mistake or what, because 2020 Nov is still next month. So we are talking about a year and one month from now. Hollywood in the making, Love it!!!” the fan who identifies as real_lizdonna1 commented.

 

Most fans of the comedian noted their excitement to receive the release of the film as soon as possible, nevertheless.
