Tributes to Diego Maradona have continued from Nigerian stars.
Diego Maradona passed away at the age of 60 on Wednesday the 25th of November 2020 after he suffered from acute heart failure.
On Thursday the 26th of November 2020 a large crowd of fans gathered at Argentina’s presidential palace to pay their final respect to the football legend.
The city of Naples, Florida, is also mourning the passing of their football hero.
Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha, who played against the Argentine at the 1994 World Cup in USA led the tributes to the former Barcelona star.
He stated that it is a sad day and that one of the greatest to have played the game of football has been lost, but God knows better than man.
He lastly said that Diego Maradona should rest in peace and he will be greatly missed.

Stoke City midfielder, Mikel Obi, also paid tribute to Diego Maradona on Instagram.
He wrote “Rest in peace Diego Maradona #legend.”
“Thank you sir #Maradona. My condolences to the family,” the former Eagles winger, Osaze Odemwingie wrote on Instagram.
Others include former Atalanta striker, Ayo Makinwa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Austin Eguavoen, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Nwankwo Kanu, Mutiu Adepoju, Ike Uche, and Mercy Akide
The former Argentina attacking midfielder and manager died at his home in Tigre near Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Three days of national mourning have begun for the Argentine hero.
