Evangelist Ismail Badmus Joseph who now trends on social media because of his unique way of evangelizing the word of God through songs and dancing is now stage-named Baba L’ori Iro’ (Father of On Top Lies).
He revealed to BBC Yoruba that his method of evangelism was instilled in him by God as many people do not want to hear the gospel anymore. Hence, he devised the method of singing and dancing which helped to preach the gospel.
The Ibadan-born Evangelist further revealed that he started singing and dancing from a very young age but his parents discouraged him as they see musicians as beggars in the olden days.
Evangelist Badmus added that his slogan ‘Iro Po’ (Too Many Lies) while preaching is not only based on his experience but he also preaches with the happenings in his environment and according to the word of God.
He expressed his joy that he was able to pass the message and it became popular though he does not know the person who recorded the video or the exact location he was while he preached that particular message.
The ‘Lori Iro” cliche stormed social media during the valentine’s period when he warned people to be careful of liars who disguise to be lovers.
